Canada is Easing Travel Restrictions for Fully Vaccinated Travellers

As of July 5th, fully vaccinated travellers arriving in Canada will not have to quarantine in hotels.

As of July 5th, fully vaccinated travellers who are permitted to enter Canada will be able to skip the 14-day quarantine, including the government-authorized hotel stay. This change will enable vaccinated Canadians to return home without quarantine but does not open the border to other fully vaccinated people. On July 19, Canada and the US extended their border closer to non-essential travel to July 21, 2021. The closure has been in place since March of 2020.

Travellers will still have to have a “suitable quarantine plan, and be prepared to quarantine, in case it is determined at the border that they do not meet the necessary requirements.," according to the government, however those

Fully vaccinated travellers will have to provide proof of their vaccination by uploading it to the ArriveCAN app before the traveller arrives at the Canadian border. More informaiton about how to do this will be forthcoming from the federal government prior to July 5.
