Air Ambulance Worldwide of Clearwater, Florida has finalised the acquisition of Aero National Air Ambulance of Washington, PA, giving it an additional base from which to operate air medical flights. Originally founded as a ground ambulance company in 1948, Aero National has been performing aeromedical transports since 1969.Aero National will retain their own FAA certificate as well as operational control while adopting Air Ambulance Worldwide’s medical protocols and will undergo EURAMI auditing this summer during AAW’s scheduled process. The fleet now consists of two Lear Jet 35’s, two Cessna Citation Jets and one Lear Jet 55.
